Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. We will assist you in resolving the issue.

To install Bluetooth drivers or any other device drivers, you should download the driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website and install it in the computer.

Method 1: I suggest you to download and install the latest Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturer’s website which is compatible with Windows 10 operating system and check if the issue is resolved.

Method 2: If you do not get a compatible driver for Windows 10 from the manufacturer’s website for Windows 10, I suggest you to install the printer driver in compatibility mode by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

Step 1:Compatibility mode runs the program in the current version of Windows using the settings from previous version of Windows.

1. Download the latest driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website or locate the driver setup file of the previous operating system in your PC.

2. Right-click on the driver setup file and click on properties.

3. Click on the compatibility tab, check the box Run this program in compatibility mode for, select Windows 10 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation.

4. Once the driver is installed in compatibility mode, restart the PC for the effective changes to take place.

Step 2:You can also follow the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

1. Press Windows logo key on the keyboard and type Run programs made for previous versions of Windows.

2. Select the top most search result and follow from step 2 from the article Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows (Also applies to Windows 10).

I download the latest driver setup file from the manufacturer’s website. Then did a right-click on the driver setup file but the properties tab, nor other tabs, where there.  I ran the Bluetooth install program and rebooted the PC. I looked for Bluetooth using Control Panel and saw that it was installed.  I ran Device Manager and Bluetooth was not there. I ran compatibility trouble shooter and no problem showed up. In control panel I ran the installed program repair program rebooted and ran device manager and Bluetooth was still not there.

I suggest you to the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps below and check if the issue is resolved.

1. Press Windows logo key on the keyboard, type troubleshooter and select the top most search result.

2. Click on View all from left side panel of the screen.

3. Select Hardware and Devices, click on Advanced option and check Apply repairs automatically option.

4. Follow the on screen instructions.

5. Close the window after troubleshooting is completed and check if the changes are effective.
