Protect Yourself From Tech Support Scams
Tech support scams are an industry-wide issue where scammers trick you into paying for unnecessary technical support services. You can help protect yourself from scammers by verifying that the contact is a Microsoft Agent or Microsoft Employee and that the phone number is an official Microsoft global customer service number.
The minidump file says the BSOD is cased by ntoskrnl.exe. This is a possible Driver issue related issue however the minidump does not say exactly which one.
Kindly do the following to isolate the problem:
→ Download and install all latest Windows Update:
• Go to
• If there are Pending updates, download and install them
• Restart your computer after the update is successfully installed
→ Run System File Checker and DISM command in Command Prompt:
• Press Windows + X and select Command Prompt (Admin)
• Type this and enter:

→ Go to your PC manufacturer website and download the latest drivers listed below (if this is a custom built PC, visit the hardware manufacturer website of each component)
1. Video Card Driver
2. LAN & Wireless Card Driver
3. Motherboard (Chipset driver and Serial I/O driver)
4. BIOS
Note: If you need help locating drivers, please reply back with the make and model of your PC including the Service tag/SNID/Serial number. If custom built PC, verify the make and model of Motherboard and Video Card
→ Make sure you are not overclocking the CPU

Hi Lee,
I'm proceeding with downloading and installing pending updates for my laptop. I thought I'll look for the drivers by the time I download the update. There are so many drivers and as you said, I'm finding it difficult to locate the drivers which I need. So I request your help in locating the drivers.
