The simplest way to use environments is by using the conda command, included with Anaconda. A Conda environment allows you to specify a specific version. To use Anaconda on older operating systems, download from our archive. you limit it to versions available at the time that particular version of Anaconda was. Select an older version from the archive only if you are testing or need an older version for a specific purpose. To use conda on Windows XP, select Anaconda 2.3.
