The 27-year-old singer once wanted to be a well-paid corporate executive like any other youngster of his age. Amit Bhalla aka Ninja was good at academics and wanted to pursue Masters in Business Administration but couldn’t go beyond graduation due to economic hardships.
The financial crisis eventually pushed him to take up odd jobs like driving three-wheelers and working as a milkman for Verka. It was this time around when Ninja met his ‘music-guru’ Harwinder Singh Bittu from whom he learned Harmonium and Bittu even displayed a kind gesture towards him by teaching him music free of cost.
Things were going well until an unfortunate incident hindered the entire momentum. Ninja’s harmonium got damaged and he couldn’t buy a new one on his own due to financial inability. It was Harwinder Singh Bittu once again who came to his rescue and gifted him a brand new harmonium. Interestingly, Ninja still possesses that harmonium!
Under his guidance, Ninja stared winning music competitions and contests consistently. The ultimate turning point in Ninja’s life was the year 2014. His first song “Annd Mannd Ka Tola” got released but failed to live up to the expectations, and the copyright issues added fuel to the fire.
As it’s always said that the darkest hour is before the dawn. Ninja’s career saw an upward graph with the release of “Pindaan Wale Jatt”. He became an overnight star.
Another interesting anecdote related to this song is that whenever Ninja used to go for shows after the success of “Pindaan Wale Jatt, he would park his WagonR or Activa somewhere away from the show venue and then cover the remaining distance on his feet.

After the failure of his first song, Ninja had a tough time looking for a banner to release his next song. Meanwhile, he and Umesh Karmawala, who also stood by him during his first song, created a banner called Karma Entertainment and approached Rakesh Rohilla, who sponsored the video and the rest, as we know, is history.
Indeed, Ninja is a perfect synonym of the phrase “hard time creates strong men and strong men create good times.”
